So i'm just back from my holidays!
i just spent 1 week of hot sunshine in Portug
al with 3 friends, Georgie, her sister Lauren and her boyfriend Alex.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment, a kitchen, a bathroom with a bath tub/shower, 2 counch
es, a balcony with a table and chairs and table and chairs inside too! we were VERRRY happy to say the least!
The heat was amazing i was never cold, well when i got really burned on my back and belly and a breeze came along in the evening i got the shivers!
but here is the twist in my tail!
so we were all sitting on the balcony our hair all washed,
we'd bought the food for the dinner, i offered to start cooking but we all decided we'd wait a bit, then alex said he'd go for a dip in the pool, then we all said even though we were all clean we would too and why not take one of the rings down with us to dive through!
so a bit of backround history is that Georgie had scoliosis which is when your spine is twsited 1 and 1/2 years ago she had an operation in which this was corrected. but she has metal rods in her back.
ANYWAY, we'd all dove into the ring once or twice each and i was in the water while Georgie, Lolly
and Alex were on the pool side, now Georgie kept diving in with it too close so they pushed it out
further and promised her she would make it, she freaked and kinda just fell into the po
ol almost and got caught
basically she caught her neck and flipped over, so she nearly fainted right there or maybe s
he did but
alex and lauren jumped in and alex held her up while we all swam her over and got her out of the pool, w
e brought her back
to the apartment where we laid her on the bed and where slowly her whole arm started to go numb... not good
We called a doctor and he said we needed to get her to hospital in an ambulance! so long story short she ended up staying overnight with alex in the hospital while me and lauren tried to
find a hotel close by, the next day everything was delayed and they spoke about keeping her in another night but we were to fly home the next day, we threatened to discharge her so they moved everything up and she was let go, as long as she wore a neck brace for the week!
so we had a lovely holiday, got a bit of a tan, ran out of money
but still we were always smiling!
